Our Co-Founder and Artistic Director had decided to take this time and go back to school to receive an Arts Management degree with the plan to come back and run JKTC better than ever.

JKTC got a little nugget of information this week that the writer, J. Williams Bruce, of "Cheeseburger Deluxe" has changed the name to his show and it is now called "Between Hope and Riverside". I whole heartedly agree with the name change. He will be taking the show to him hometown Paris, Illinois. I hope he knows that JKTC is always on his side and thinking about him. Have a fantastic run of the show Bruce! We could not be prouder of you.

August 29 - Cheeseburger Deluxe came and went in a flash! We wish more people could have come to see our talented cast because all of them could SING their hearts out and deserved to be heard. We wish them all the best of luck with their endeavors. As always we will be curious to see what the writer will do his show.
August 7 - our main producer had her appendix rupture on her early this morning which means she will not be around rehearsals for the next two or three weeks. It all depends on what the doctors orders are..

July 23 - Had our first Meet & Greet and Table Read--and snacks--we had snacks!!
John Capo Public Relations has been brought on board again to publicize this new musical play to the New York City theatre going audience. You will recognize his name from past productions as John has successfully promoted our past productions of Dog Sees God in 2012, Living Dead in Denmark in 2013 and most recently, Manuscript in 2015. We are fully cast and rehearsals start at the end of the month.

-pleased to say a theatre has been chosen for the World Premiere of Cheeseburger Deluxe. It will be playing at the Fourth Street Theatre from August 22nd to August 28th. More news to come as this process of production continues.

- March 13, 2014 - We have booked the space for JKTC's First Spring/Summer Reading Series. The readings will be held at Shetler Studios, 244 West 54th Street, 12th Floor. More information heading your way by the end of the month.
- February 17, 2014 - We have started going through all the plays submitted to us for our first go around and pick four to put up in our Reading Series. Time to start contacting playwrights to see if they're still interested in having what they sent in last year done as a reading. We hope to have more information heading your way soon.

- January 28, 2014 - We are pleased to announce that our Artistic Director, Kimberly Nordstrom, has gotten accepted into Michael Roderick's program PLAE: Program for Launching Artistic Entrepreneurs which is a year-long program that only accepts 10 students. We wish her luck on the next en devour and are excited to see where this will take her.

We have decided to put the Reading Series on hold for the time being which gives that member time to recover and other members to do their own thing. (October 2013)

- September 5, 2012 EXCITING NEWS!!! We just signed our theatre contract to do our next show at The Gene Frankel Theatre in NYC. Now that the theatre is booked we can officially get the rights for the show!!
